Hi, I'm helping my sister complete a Medicaid application; I haven't done this before. One section asks about student loan interest - frequency and amount. My initial thought was to choose "monthly" and the amount being what the interest is as of today. But this obviously changes month to month.
What is the best way to respond to this? I assume monthly IS correct, but not sure on the amount.
Hi,
Our group is working on the final project for our Masters of Information and Data Science at UC Berkeley. We are working on a project to attempt to improve the medical billing, coding, and electronic medical record note taking system by creating a virtual assistant using neural networks and natural language processing.
We are hoping to focus on improving one or more of the following:
Reduced Errors
Improved Consistency & Transparency in coding
Reduced Time Spent in Process of documentation and tagging codes
Higher payment to practice
Reduced insurance fraud or improved consistency with insurance auditing
If you could please identify some aspects of medical billing & coding that you feel could be improved, we would love your input!

I’m looking for a super moisturizing body lotion/cream that is derived from natural ingredients and is cruelty-free. Right now, I’m using Lush’s Sympathy for the Skin but I don’t love the smell and would prefer something a bit more moisturizing.
Thanks!
I was wondering if leaving cucumber juice on my face overnight could help me to get rid of some pimples at least reduce redness and swelling so I actually did last night and this is what I discovered.
Overall, cucumber did an amazing job in hydrating and plumping my skin next day. I was glowing. But in terms of reducing pimples overnight was 50/50.
I had one pimple on my cheek that was super red before and the next day looked pretty much healed almost dry. On the other hand, I had a huge pimple in the corner of my nose that was swollen and super red and next day the pimple was still there nothing changed only a tiny less red. That's it.
Btw, all I used for this cucumber face mask was a third of a fresh cucumber and some aloe vera gel, blended the ingredients and store in a close container in the refrigerator before I used it at night.
Does anyone have any recommendations for body washes that have minimal or limited ingredients? Light or fragrance free.
Hello everyone I didn’t know where to post my question so I’ll do it here. I was wondering if any of you people know what my thing is. Basically I’m feeling this lumpy thing in the middle of my throat but the thing is is just annoying it doesn’t hurt or anything and it comes and goes, it has been like this for like 2 months. Any answers?
Context: I live in Canada, but I'm not a Canadian citizen and I'm 18
This is a very dumb question, but I don't know how privacy law work for insurance. I'm planning to seek some mental health professionals and my culture has a big taboo about it.
Recently I’ve been running/walking a lot, about 7km of a combination of running and walking a day, and my shin are feeling pain that gets slightly worse every day. The pain isn’t that bad, I can still run and it’s something I can fight through. I’m getting concerned and am going to ice my shins and take a break for a few days? Does anyone have some advice?
Hi all!
I am wondering if anyone knows of any programs that transfer your completed healthcare program (Example: CNA, CMA, RN, Phlebotomist) towards another health care program (Example: Surgical Tech, Lab Tech, Radiology Tech).
I know the courses are different, and all have “program specific courses” however, surely some of these cross over or after years of working in the field I’m sure you could test out of courses?
Maybe I am being ignorant/naive but I feel like after completing one 1 year applied healthcare program I shouldn’t have to take the complete intro year to another.
By the way, I do know that Medical Assistants can get 26 credits toward an AS in Health Sciences through Excelsior College but there not a lot you can do with that.
Thanks!

Hey guys, I'm not how many people know about this so I thought I'd share, it's the importance of Vitamins for helping protect and repair your skin from sun damage! I've been using products containing Vitamins A, B, C, E, and K (or taking them in supplements/diet) and found tremendous benefit with my skins ability to repair itself after sun exposure. Of course I apply natural sunscreen as much as I can, but sometimes even with sunscreen I'll get burns and damaged skin!
Anyone also use these vitamins in their skincare or can recommend good products?
I just finished reading this article about it, which was pretty informative. What do you guys think of this?
After quarantining and re-evaluating my priorities in life, I am doing more natural at-home skin care and not relying on a salon anymore. I better appreciate my natural beauty and am less reliant. Less make-up, more natural products, skipping hair coloring. I hope we can all as women, keep these ideas in mind as we move past covid the next few years.
I have always had dry skin on my face, arms, legs, feet/hands. Nothing too bad, I would say - medium dry.
I know so many organic ways to soothe the dryness - fats, oils, salves, herbal creams etc... I even eat plenty of olive/coconut oil.
But can anybody explain the science behind why skin gets dry? And the science behind what actually is happening when I moisturize?
Does moisturizer actually help replenish the skin? OR is it like a bandaid approach that just makes it look better for a while until the moisturizer wears off.
Does anybody have any simply 1-2times weekly routines I can do with only organic substances (no commercial products) to take care of the skin on my face+limbs?
Thanks in advance - have been trying to crack this code for some time now.
I've read that taking NAC 30 minutes before drinking can protect your liver and kidneys from some of the negative affects of alcohol. Is this true? Also can taking NAC when your not drinking help heal your kidney and/or liver from past alcohol use?
I work in dialysis and accidentally got stuck with a dirty needle yesterday. The patient who the needle came from does not have HIV or hepatitis. For some reason I keep having this thought in my head that some how I could still get hiv or something I know it's illogical due to the patient not having anything other than diabetes but my mind keeps making me feel as if I was stuck with a hiv or hep needle
Hey!
Been doing some research as my skin doesn't like surfactants - does anyone here use kaolin clay (or any clay actually) mixed with water/oil as a 'cleanser'? And if so does it actually work? When I use clay masks my skin feels super clean and I know some people do use clay instead of a regular cleanser but I'm not sure about the ins and outs
Hello all, I was hoping I could hear some opinions on my recent natural skincare concerns.
Since quite a while I’ve been struggling with my facial skin, even though I’ve used only natural and organic products. My skin is prone to redness, sensitivity (especially on the cheeks), my eyes get often red from using incorrect products. However, I also have combination skin with oiliness in the T zone. Therefore I can experience clogged pores and such. I feel like the skincare products are often either for redness/sensitive skin or acne prone, oily one. I also read that oils (which I have been using for years) are comedogenic - and since they are a big molecule, they shouldn't be applied to the skin on it's own but at the very end of the regimen with a gentle tapping motion.
I think it's all quite confusing and for a while I have even switched to non natural products because I have been struggling so much with my skin.
Thank you for reading!
Has anyone ever tried the FSC shower soufflé and found a comparable product? I tried some a few years ago and it moisturized my skin perfectly and had a nice light scent. After running out a friend shipped me some and now I’ve run out again and said friend has moved.
I’ve ordered a few shower soufflés from Etsy and they’ve all been more of whipped cream consistency whereas FSC was a bit more dense.
Has anyone else experienced this? Over the past 18months or so I’ve been intermittently using natural deodorant (salt of the earth crystal). Initially I would use it a few times per week, using dove roll on antiperspirant the other days and always found the natural one to be equally as effective (to my surprise). Since lockdown due to Coronavirus I’ve used only natural deodorant (around 2.5 months now) but in that time I’ve found it doesn’t appear to be working anymore. I’m finding my underarms are feeling pretty wet from around lunchtime onwards and I’m sometimes conscious of the smell. I want to stick at it (hormone related environmental toxin detox) so would like to understand and find a solution if possible. The only thing that’s changed in this time was an armpit detox I done using bentonite clay with apple cider vinegar & tea tree oil. Any insight or tips others have would be much appreciated.
Does anyone use Lume and notice less underarm hair growth? I usually wax a few times a year/shave the rest of the time, but since the coronavirus I’ve been letting everything grow out and I’m noticing my underarm hair is significantly thinner and maybe even lighter in color? Not necessarily a bad side effect, but still wondering what could be causing this and if it’s safe. I’ve used Lume for about 3 months now and love it.
You have just undergone an incredible journey with your body. You have enabled and assisted your body in the process of ridding itself of the dangerous toxins it had been carrying around.
At the end of your cleanse, you should to take steps to ease your body back into a regular routine.
Hello everyone!
I was wondering if anyone could share their experiences (negative and positive) of elderly persons using mobility aids. If you have any pressing thoughts, feel free to comment below or fill in this short 10-question survey:

For background, I am an undergraduate engineering student working on an academic project related to the design of mobility aids for seniors. I've watched my grandparents use their walkers for the past few years, but I'd love to hear more stories.
I'm just trying to get a better understanding of current issues with mobility aids. All responses from the survey will be kept confidential.
Thanks for reading this long post!!
hey everyone, are you still carrying on with your underarm hair removal (i.e. waxing?, shaving?) routine under lockdown? why / why not? How do you feel about the whole thing?
Hey friends! I'm looking for a completely NATURAL (and hopefully DIY) shampoo for my Hara undies
This is their care instructions:
Wash your pieces in the shower with you using a natural shampoo. Our products are made using natural dyes, use a natural detergent that does not contain citrus (or other acidic) oils/scents.
Does anyone have any recipes/ brands that fit this description?
Thanks! xx
Hope everyone is staying safe during these times. Long time lurker here since December when the pandemic first hit but this is my first time posting.
I came across these cute portable UV sterilizers called Wonder Wand and thought I’d share with everyone. It is proven to kill 99.9% of bacteria. I personally use it as an extra layer of protection after i clorox my groceries and packages. In my local area nobody is wearing masks and its quite concerning :( hopefully nobody else is experiencing this

Is there any possible diagnosis we can get? She has been struggling with things related to Body Dysmorphia recently (very upset by their changing body). I am extremely concerned for her and I want to try find a way to treat this. My theory is that it is caused by anxiety and fears over this body issue.
Many thanks, a concerned 15 year old brother.
Dr Pimple Popper fans, what up? We all know we shouldn't forcefully evacuate our pores, but its tempting. I see something on my face, I want to do something about it immediately. I tried this longer-session oil cleansing with an oil type that suits my skin's needs and it was pretty successful. Over time, with a firm massage, black heads, white heads and sebaceous filaments started coming out of my FACE. Super cool if you're into that kind of thing. If you try this, make sure you completely (gently) cleanse your face of this oil so that you don't have any dirt, dead skin or bacteria hanging out on your face afterwards. I used olive oil (high in oleic acid), but there are products on the market with surfactants, build specifically for cleansing the face. The benefit there is that the product can wash away easily with water, as opposed to a pure oil.
Here's a video to my first time review: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mV7K33t5umw
For more details on oil cleansing, check out the Golden Rx's video, which inspired me to give this a try: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3z0YPACfhBk
Make sure to identify your skin's needs and be meticulous before giving this a try. What worked for me will not necessarily work for you.
Hi everyone,
I have a short, 4 question survey for physicians, patients, and consumers within the burn/wound care space. If you could spare a few minutes answering these questions, it would be sincerely appreciated. Thank you!

Hello Everyone!
Hope everyone is staying safe and healthy during this time😊!
I am currently developing an elastic, eco-friendly and lower cost, burn/wound care bandage. It provides a safe, clean, and moist wound healing environment to surface injuries and 1st/2nd degree burns. It also reduces pain/hair-tearing, reopening of wounds, scarring of tissue, and likelihood of secondary infection during dressing removal all through the use of hydrogels, plant material, and antimicrobial biomolecules. Is this something that you could see in the market (pharmacies, retail store, online, hospitals) and being used by consumers and any feedback/critiques you would give to make it better or more appealing? Thanks!
Rub castor oil on your lashes for natural longer lashes with your fingers.. Or a clean mascara wand... Or Q tip. Before bed.
I am looking to do some market research for a new business venture that involves all natural deodorant and I want to get a good understanding of the deodorant market. I put together a really quick survey (2 mins) just to get some information. If you could fill out this survey it would be extremely helpful!
