[Question - Insurance] Medicaid Student Loan Interest

Hi, I'm helping my sister complete a Medicaid application; I haven't done this before. One section asks about student loan interest - frequency and amount. My initial thought was to choose "monthly" and the amount being what the interest is as of today. But this obviously changes month to month.

What is the best way to respond to this? I assume monthly IS correct, but not sure on the amount.

Do you think it is a bad idea to rub cucumbers on your face?

I was wondering if leaving cucumber juice on my face overnight could help me to get rid of some pimples at least reduce redness and swelling so I actually did last night and this is what I discovered.

Overall, cucumber did an amazing job in hydrating and plumping my skin next day. I was glowing. But in terms of reducing pimples overnight was 50/50.

I had one pimple on my cheek that was super red before and the next day looked pretty much healed almost dry. On the other hand, I had a huge pimple in the corner of my nose that was swollen and super red and next day the pimple was still there nothing changed only a tiny less red. That's it.

Btw, all I used for this cucumber face mask was a third of a fresh cucumber and some aloe vera gel, blended the ingredients and store in a close container in the refrigerator before I used it at night.

I put cucumber on my face overnight. And this happened!

Credit toward other healthcare programs? [Question - other]

Hi all!
I am wondering if anyone knows of any programs that transfer your completed healthcare program (Example: CNA, CMA, RN, Phlebotomist) towards another health care program (Example: Surgical Tech, Lab Tech, Radiology Tech).

I know the courses are different, and all have “program specific courses” however, surely some of these cross over or after years of working in the field I’m sure you could test out of courses?

Maybe I am being ignorant/naive but I feel like after completing one 1 year applied healthcare program I shouldn’t have to take the complete intro year to another.

By the way, I do know that Medical Assistants can get 26 credits toward an AS in Health Sciences through Excelsior College but there not a lot you can do with that.

Thanks!

Using Vitamins to naturally protect and repair skin from Sun Damage?

Hey guys, I'm not how many people know about this so I thought I'd share, it's the importance of Vitamins for helping protect and repair your skin from sun damage! I've been using products containing Vitamins A, B, C, E, and K (or taking them in supplements/diet) and found tremendous benefit with my skins ability to repair itself after sun exposure. Of course I apply natural sunscreen as much as I can, but sometimes even with sunscreen I'll get burns and damaged skin!

Anyone also use these vitamins in their skincare or can recommend good products?

I just finished reading this article about it, which was pretty informative. What do you guys think of this?

Organic tips/tricks/science for dry skin?

I have always had dry skin on my face, arms, legs, feet/hands. Nothing too bad, I would say - medium dry.

I know so many organic ways to soothe the dryness - fats, oils, salves, herbal creams etc... I even eat plenty of olive/coconut oil.

But can anybody explain the science behind why skin gets dry? And the science behind what actually is happening when I moisturize?

Does moisturizer actually help replenish the skin? OR is it like a bandaid approach that just makes it look better for a while until the moisturizer wears off.

Does anybody have any simply 1-2times weekly routines I can do with only organic substances (no commercial products) to take care of the skin on my face+limbs?

Thanks in advance - have been trying to crack this code for some time now.

Natural skincare struggles with redness and oiliness

Hello all, I was hoping I could hear some opinions on my recent natural skincare concerns.

Since quite a while I’ve been struggling with my facial skin, even though I’ve used only natural and organic products. My skin is prone to redness, sensitivity (especially on the cheeks), my eyes get often red from using incorrect products. However, I also have combination skin with oiliness in the T zone. Therefore I can experience clogged pores and such. I feel like the skincare products are often either for redness/sensitive skin or acne prone, oily one. I also read that oils (which I have been using for years) are comedogenic - and since they are a big molecule, they shouldn't be applied to the skin on it's own but at the very end of the regimen with a gentle tapping motion.

I think it's all quite confusing and for a while I have even switched to non natural products because I have been struggling so much with my skin.

Thank you for reading!

Natural deodorant stopped working

Has anyone else experienced this? Over the past 18months or so I’ve been intermittently using natural deodorant (salt of the earth crystal). Initially I would use it a few times per week, using dove roll on antiperspirant the other days and always found the natural one to be equally as effective (to my surprise). Since lockdown due to Coronavirus I’ve used only natural deodorant (around 2.5 months now) but in that time I’ve found it doesn’t appear to be working anymore. I’m finding my underarms are feeling pretty wet from around lunchtime onwards and I’m sometimes conscious of the smell. I want to stick at it (hormone related environmental toxin detox) so would like to understand and find a solution if possible. The only thing that’s changed in this time was an armpit detox I done using bentonite clay with apple cider vinegar & tea tree oil. Any insight or tips others have would be much appreciated.

Oil Cleansing: Does it work? A Quick Review.

Dr Pimple Popper fans, what up? We all know we shouldn't forcefully evacuate our pores, but its tempting. I see something on my face, I want to do something about it immediately. I tried this longer-session oil cleansing with an oil type that suits my skin's needs and it was pretty successful. Over time, with a firm massage, black heads, white heads and sebaceous filaments started coming out of my FACE. Super cool if you're into that kind of thing. If you try this, make sure you completely (gently) cleanse your face of this oil so that you don't have any dirt, dead skin or bacteria hanging out on your face afterwards. I used olive oil (high in oleic acid), but there are products on the market with surfactants, build specifically for cleansing the face. The benefit there is that the product can wash away easily with water, as opposed to a pure oil.

Here's a video to my first time review: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mV7K33t5umw

For more details on oil cleansing, check out the Golden Rx's video, which inspired me to give this a try: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3z0YPACfhBk

Make sure to identify your skin's needs and be meticulous before giving this a try. What worked for me will not necessarily work for you.
