Hello all. New to this subreddit, but I hope this post abides the rules
My team and I from MIT COVID-19 Hackathon have a project that involves aiding health-care professionals. In the safest, fastest way possible we aim to train volunteers and match them to hospitals in need to free up valuable healthcare provider time. Short-term, we want to help mitigate the effects of the Covid19 pandemic, but hope to become a long-term support system for the healthcare system in the US and abroad.
We plan on recruiting and screening our volunteers online. During the screening process volunteers are trained using our online courses that have been reviewed by medical professionals, and group training sessions led by medical professionals. When screening and training is complete volunteers will be matched with hospitals in their region.
I'm just here to ask for feedback on this idea from anyone familiar with the healthcare system, as well if anyone wishes to contribute to the project in any way by, i guess, giving feedback?
