[Discussion] How long should an abscess bleed?

I Injured my knee from my fall last week I had a large abscess that I had drained three days ago. The doctor told me to change out the dressing every two days I’ve changed it out twice because it came out when I changed my bandage. There still a little blood. It looks watery. It gets on the Curad strip I have to put into the open cut. Is this normal? I’m also taking antibiotic Clindamyacin.
