So I'm in a bit of a jam. I live in California who this year reinstated the penalty for not having coverage (unfortunately didn't hear about this until literally two days ago). I have until the 31st to sign up so I'm applying today and they need proof of income. Unfortunately I'm not actually working, just got hired at a place on Monday and won't start for another week and a half, not sure when I'd get my first paycheck but obvs not by the 31st.
I filled out and uploaded an attestation form but I can't go any further in the process until it's deemed acceptable for eligibility. Does anyone know how long this generally takes, if I can do anything to speed up the process and is there any sort of leeway if I were to miss the deadline?
