And well, some have predicted that rural health systems are the most vulnerable right now. If these systems collapse, it means the death of our city, the neighboring towns and the reality of 45+ minute trips for people to reach an ER or their primary care physician. I do wonder what the next five years hold - especially since people are also leaving left and right - people who've been apart of the system for 10+ years, who are being enticed to pursue jobs in larger cities, even if it means a hour drive in the morning.
So with that said, how are your local hospitals and systems fairing and do you sense any trouble in the coming years?
