[Discussion] Vaccinate All Children Act of 2019

H.R.2527- is the vaccinate all children act of 2019 and it will require each student in public elementary and secondary schools to be vaccinated in accordance with the advisory committee on immunization practices. If a state does not do so they will not receive funding for their public entities that promote preventive wellness services unless they institute certain vaccination requirements.

In our current day and age it is extremely heartbreaking to see that parents are pushing their own agendas by not vaccinating their children. With all that has been done to improve the lives of children, how can we risk our own children but other children as well?

John Kiely was a child in the 1950’s and he developed measles, he was in an oxygen tent. His temperature was rising, a nurse would come in every few hours to administer a shot and through all of this he could see his mothers face with a waterfall of tears coming down. She was in pain from seeing her child suffer and no parent should see their child suffer from something that is so easily preventable. If a child were to experience measles in 2020 (1282 measles cases in 2019) they will more than likely experience the same symptoms John did.

Lastly, If vaccinations do not hurt children, letting them go without it will.

This was for my Healthcare policy class, needed to make a post on social media. This isn’t a law yet, but how do you guys feel about this? Is this something you would support?

Thanks!
