[Discussion] Viability of Subscription payment model or "Netflix-Style" Drug pricing

I've attached the link. I'm curious to understand why pharmaceutical companies would agree to such an arrangement? If anything they would have to produce more drugs for the same payments from the state. Exactly how would they profit?
