I have a deviated septum that is causing all sorts of issues with my breathing and sucked it up with an ENT visit after i got sick of feeling like im not getting enough air.
He recommended fixing the septum, reducing the terpenes size, and installing an implant that makes my nostrils not collapse.
Unfortunately my insurance only covers 60%, so I have to pay the 40% out of pocket.
The surgery itself wasn't bad and i was all hyped to go do it... until I got the call from the surgery center. What was looking like a $1300 procedure shot right up to $4000 adding their surgery center cost. All of that out of pocket.
At this point it's pretty much toast unless i can find a cheaper way to do this. The septum seems to be getting worse as i get older though, so im not sure what to do.
I've never had surgery before or anything like this. Can you shop around at all? The ENT office said i was supposed to negotiate the price??? I'm so confused there.
