Not sure this is the right place but I am trying to help a friend. I have done some googling and tried to figure this out on my own but I’m stuck. I have healthcare paid for by my employer so this is all new to me.
The company my friend works for is going under. She is being laid off soon and her benefits will obviously lapse. She is getting a severance check and will move to part-time work, which does not provide her with healthcare.
Given that she is only working 2-3 days a week (net $1580 a month), will she qualify for subsidized healthcare or will her annual salary from 2018 prevent her from receiving aid?
