Today I spent a good hour calling around the Arlington area to get a quote on a procedure I need done. Most of them won't take self-pay patients or won't give me a quote, or even the procedure ID so I could ask an insurance company for a quote.
This seems odd. I know some offices might have contracts with insurance providers to refuse self-pay patients, but I didn't think it would be that common?
