I'm potentially gonna be an exchange student in New Orleans the first semester of next year. However, I am getting dental braces in the start of next year. In my country, getting braces is not ensured for adults; and therefore I am not able to ensure myself for the treatment on foreign grounds either.
Knowing that the US medical costs are relatively high -- especially compared to my home country -- I wonder if anybody can tell me how much I can expect in costs for check ups on the braces. Depending on their costs I might have to skip out on my exchange adventure.
