Have I caught rabies in Thailand?

I’m backpacking Asia at the moment without a rabies vaccination. I got bitten by a cat four days ago in Koh Phangan and moved to Cambodia yesterday.

When I woke up yesterday morning I had quite a sore throat. I put it down to the fan in our room as I get it often if I stay in badly ventilated rooms. However over the course of the day until I’ve just woken up at 3am it’s been getting worse; it’s difficult to swallow, my nose is now blocked and I have a pressure headache around my temples.

I know these are flu like symptoms, but I also know that these accompany the early stages of rabies. The bite is very small and there is no visible signs of redness, swelling or any pain from the wound however to accompany the issue with my throat and head.

Can anyone let me know if it’s worth me seeing a doctor? And if there are any other symptoms I should look out for? My boyfriend thinks I should go anyway but it’s ridiculously expensive and I have already claimed on my insurance this trip. Obviously I would rather not die though.
