Giovanni shampoo/conditioner DIY alternative

The qualities I like about the products is they have this high stick nature that gives alot of shampooing and conditioning effect in the rather small amount of use. I believe it would be better which is why I want a home made version. The base blend would be the same, but in smaller batches I would add say blue tansy and tea tree, and lavendula in another for the sake of change. Can anyone direct me to what I am looking for? The conditioning and shampooing qualites of giovanni but better, and in a DIY method.
