Hi my friend lives in Texas, is 20, and is studying to be a nurse and doesn't have health care coverage under her parent's plan. She doesn't have a disability or dependents and so I think she isn't eligible for Medicaid. She has been very depressed and afraid for the last month, having frequent panic attacks, and yesterday she even wrote a suicide note and tried to kill herself by taking a whole lot of cough syrup (she didn't have a cough), saying she was leaving it in Gods hands for whether she lived or died. She survived thankfully however she is still depressed and scared, and she has also been wetting the bed, possibly a urinary tract infection. She is basically broke and can't pay to see a doctor, and her lack of ability to get health care coverage or afford to see a doctor just makes her more depressed. Are there any options for her to see a doctor or get medical help?
Also I don't want to get political but its insane that Trump wants to repeal the ACA and leave even more people uninsured, when in actuality we need to have universal affordable healthcare like a civilized country so people like my friend can get the healthcare they need when they need it.
