I applied for MediCal and received a state card and a packet claiming I had to pick a healthcare plan, but got rejected on the plan - am I covered?

The packet (and the representative on the phone) told me I had to pick between IEHP (Inland Empire Health Plan) and Molina. A few days later I was told I was ineligible, but I had been told I was eligible for MediCal (and received my card apparently, I think?). I have no idea if I can just go wherever and use this or not now. I need to visit a sleep doctor ASAP.
