Friend's parents want to retire to US, but are worried about health insurance options.

I don't know much about this, but my friend's parents are looking to move to the US when they retire, but they're concerned about how healthcare will work. Would my friend (who lives in the US already) be able to get coverage for them through their company insurance? Would they qualify for medicaid after some amount of time?
