I want to find a job that I can grind in to save up money, to move states, live alone, and possibly transfer to another state in that same field.
So what health care job do you think is good to get in if I need some income right now? I can work overtime if needed, and the schooling doesn't take four years. I need it to be like a few months maximum. Maybe phlebotomist? Or CNA? Thoughts on those jobs?
so i’m getting a pelvic ultrasound in a couple days and as i was setting up the appointment with the office, i was told that my total would be $900 after insurance. i looked at the total in my chart and it said the ultrasound is $1400 total. does that sound a bit pricey??

Several weeks ago, a Friday morning, I was taken by ambulance to the ER, admitted to ICU, and left the next day Saturday afternoon. Admittedly, I left AMA, as I was VERY upset/triggered/angry by the way I was being treated. But this NOT about that treatment (doc already filing complaint on my behalf for that) This is about "medical records" that either don't exist, or are VERY WRONG.
Afterward, I found the summary and such online, got VERY confused by some outdated, and some completely unrecognized information the hospital apparently got from "previous records". It honestly read like a hallucinating AI, so I ordered ALL the records of this most recent visit.
And again, they reference information that is just plain not real, including a "spouse", who, while is my closest friend and chosen family, I've never been married to. That person thought about the phone number the hospital supposedly had for them, and neither of us recognize it. I hope the poor stranger wasn't too freaked out by the voicemail the hospital supposedly left.
They also had me listed at a 10-years-ago address. The EMTs picked me up at home, which is the same address on my driver's license, which was brought with me to the hospital. It's anyone's guess where the (insurance-estimated nearly $3k) hospital bill will be mailed to.
And that's not the WORST wrong information: A suicide attempt that never happened. I have verified with everyone in my life that this NEVER HAPPENED. While the recent records reference 2023, they don't get any more specific than the year.
I've requested ALL my supposed records from 2023, from the same hospital. Nobody in my life (including my primary care doc of 5 years, nor my psychiatric provider of 10+ years) remembers me spending any time in a hospital in 2023, except while visiting a patient, and that was a different hospital system.
While I wait for those records to materialize - Does anyone know how this happens? Where they might have found this "information", these "prior records"? Any advice?
Aside from how badly I was treated on this visit, I am... confused, and honestly a bit freaked out by these "medical records". Do I have any recourse to get this corrected, or voided and destroyed, or.... I dunno, something???
I fear this FALSE information following me, and creating future bias against me and more horrible treatment by medical professionals in the future.
For context I’m an exercise physiologist working in cardiac rehab out and inpatient settings. This last few month of working inpatients I work with the various therapy teams or ambulate patients solo and I’m getting annoyed at the amount of family members who sneak pics or blatantly just whip out their phone and record their loved one working w me/staff. It’s getting tiring trying to explain to these folks HIPPA implications and personal reasons of not taking media of the clinical setting. Your family will believe that granda was walking today. Anyone have similar issues at their hospital/clinic.
