Hi! I am from VA. I had Medicaid for 3 years now. I am a student. Every year they ask to give estimated income, I gave them my usual estimate base on how much I made the year before.
However, this summer I had an unexpected internship and now that I am doing my taxes, I realize that I made $2,000 more than the limit because they paid for housing, which was included as my income in my w-2.
My main job is a waitress, so my income is not very constant, so I didn’t know I made a lot more than usual.
Will Medicaid make me pay for the doctors I visited in 2023 or not? With my renewal, I will include my new income and most likely loose Medicaid, but right now I am more afraid that they will make me pay.
