Patient of mine flirted with me at the bar and repeatedly followed me. What should I have done?

I went out to the bar with my boyfriend and a few friends. While we were having drinks at a table one of my patient's came up to our table and started talking to the table and then flirting with me. I tried my best to divert it and introduced my boyfriend hopes that would help. The patient then insinuated he wanted to sell drugs to my boyfriend. My boyfriend said no thanks and that he was prescribed what he was trying to sell. Patient then left. I assumed that was that but then my patient came up to me again and tried flirting with me. I went to the bathroom and texted my friends we all needed to leave NOW.

We left and went to another bar, a few hours later we decide to go back to the bar to meet with the rest of our friends since the other bars are getting a bit wild. While waiting in line for my drink my patient came up to me again, I saw a friend I knew and ran up to them to get away. I then went to the bathroom and told my friends what happened and that I needed them to keep him away from me while I wait for my ride home.

He comes up to me again once I leave the bathroom (I made it maybe 10 feet from the bathroom) and he told me about how someone beat him up at the bar tonight. My friends saw him and ushered me away. He just stared at me from across the bar until my ride came.

I texted my boss this morning to tell her what happened and ask what I should have done. This patient is normally very respectful in the clinic and not causing trouble. Did I do the right thing? What should I have done? I've seen my patients at the bar while I've been drinking before but I've never had them talk to me.
