I’ve been working in healthcare for 5-6 years now- most of that time I’ve worked as a Clinical Scientist specializing in Flow/HemePath. I’ve recently decided that the next step in my career would be leadership roles and to solidify that plan I’m considering obtaining a MHA.
For those that have experience with this degree, or in healthcare administration/leadership, my questions are:
1) there are many programs out there that offer the MHA but sifting through it all is tedious- could you state what to look for when choosing a university/program?
2) what jobs are truly possible with this degree? And are the salary ranges worth the extra money spent on education?
3) Work-Life balance?
4) any recommendations for programs to consider?
I know that I am interested in leadership roles, but the bigger question is how I move from point A to B.
Thank you, to everyone who responds with helpful advice!
