As a patient, would you like to know when the hospitals around you are short staffed and to which degree?

As a patient, I’d like to know if I will have to wait 30 min on the call bell to use the restroom due to short staffing.

As a nurse, I think patients have a right to know which facilities around them are short staffed, so that they can plan accordingly and anticipate the wait times and the quality of care and be able to decide which hospital to go to at a specific time.

My colleagues and I are trying to pilot a movement through which hospitals’ staffing % is transparent and public information.
