I just got health insurance for the first time after not having it for a long time. Didn't think much of it until I hurt my arm and after two months it's not healing. I guess I'm lucky that I got insurance when I did.
So, now I need to understand how the healthcare system works. Apparently I need to select a primary care physician. What is a primary care physician? How do I select a good one? What happens if I realized that the PCP that I initially selected turns out to be a quack? What is the relationship between me and my PCP? How does the process work of getting issues resolved? Why are there so many different "systems" that I need to be "entered in to"?
Honestly, isn't there somewhere that this is all just explained that I can take a few hours or whatever to read up and at least gain enough understanding that I know WTF is going on?
