Has anyone transitioned into healthcare from an IT career?

I need as much advice as possible. For me I’m a person that likes some sense of leadership or order. I come in and know what I have to do. Even if it’s the same thing everyday, I enjoy stability and security of work.

My career has been a lot of not knowing and mismanagement from the top down. I know this can happen in healthcare but at least if I learn to be a radtech, I do the same thing relatively and won’t have to worry about convince a CIO etc. I can just clock in and do my job.

I know the pay cut will hurt. Also, a huge problem for me is the amount of college (money) some healthcare fields require unfortunately. I can’t say I’m willing to be a nurse. Any other routes you can recommend in healthcare if you’ve also been in IT?
