As the title states, im looking to view the frequency of icd10 codes
I am trying to track the outbreak of EVALI, (Code U07.0) and the statistics on the cdc website were last updated in feb. 2020, meaning I/we have no clue how many cases there have been since then, or how prevalent the illness is.
Since feb 2020, the mechanism of the illness has been narrowed down to a certain contaminant in vaping devices, meaning the market has had an opportunity to react and modify their products, however, we do not know if it did/areas of concern. This is because the statistics relating to this diagnosis stopped coming out once people started diverting their attention to covid.
I see that HCUPNet has a tool for analyzing the frequency of icd 9 diagnoses, but i can not look up by icd 10 code on their website and this illness does not have an icd 9, as the outbreak began after 2015. Not sure where to get my data from now, and i would seriously like to know if there could be more to this vaping disease that wasnt discovered because people got distracted.
