I've been noticing lately that my employer health insurance is covering less and less of my family's medical procedures and has very little in network health providers now (UHC for those interested). As such I've been looking at ways to control costs and try to make those costs for visits more predictable.
When going to the doctor I've been receiving bills anywhere between $25 to $2000 depending on the visit. I'm at a point where I just want a secondary, or even primary health option that will expand options and significantly lower my out of pocket expenses, even if that means my monthly premium cost significantly increases.
Even if the plan costs a few grand a month I'm not opposed so long as visits are inexpensive and predictable. What are my options at this point?
