Hi everyone,
So I’ve recently established some financial stability for the first time since graduating college. Since I’m not poor, I guess I deserve healthcare now (LUL @ this country)
I’d like a plan that covers basic needs and eye care.
My dad is a delivery driver (instacart, doordash, etc) working in the middle of a pandemic. He won’t buy insurance. Relatively healthy for his age, no major conditions. I live in Massachussets, he is located in Pennsylvania.
My wife is ... skinny, but unhealthy. We all need checkups and to make sure all of our stuff is in order, I worry about her. I worry about us all, but again it seems like we’re healthy. I just want peace of mind.
Could I get a plan that would cover all three of us? Where would be the best spot to start off that wouldn’t be people trying to sell things to me? Is my dad being located in a different state a significant complication?
I’m dealing with a lot and sorting out the healthcare system is ... too much on my plate. I’m struggling just to keep up my income and establish new financial accounts for myself. Also, I’m a self employed freelancer, dunno if that adds anything in terms in terms of deductions.
Lastly, my dad has a green card, I am waiting for one (I 797 status), and my wife is a naturalized citizen.
Thanks to anyone willing to help, it really means a lot 😊
