[Discussion] The real reason why healthcare costs have gotten so expensive

Hi all,

This week for my weekly newsletter I talked about the real reason why the costs of healthcare and college tuition have gotten so high compared to the rest of the economy.

We all argue about what to do about these rising costs, but very few people really understand why the costs have been rising in the first place.

The real reason is complicated. In most of the economy, the deflationary aspects of technology improvement has countered the inflationary effects of money supply expansion that has occurred over the last 50 years. Healthcare has not benefited from tech the same way, and costs have risen as a result.

I know this post is a bit self promo, but it's entirely informative and it's interesting. The link is below, it's only a six minute listen.
