I have very sensitive skin and when it comes to shaving my legs always get irritation, redness, bumps and endless itchiness. You know razor burn.
So I was looking for a more natural way to shave my legs and this is where I found out that some people recommend shaving with coconut oil.
I tried out shaving one leg with coconut oil and the other leg with olive oil (other recommended method) to compare which will potentially prevent razor burns.
The results that I got was that coconut oil provides a more beautiful finish (smoother and hydrated legs even after you wash off the oil) unfortunately gave me irritation a few hours after shaving.
On the other leg, olive oil is less messy (won't clog drain) and my skin was ok moisturized (not impressive as coconut oil). After I washed off this oil, I had the need of applying lotion on my legs. BUT this oil didn't cause any irritation. Very interesting.
