What the hell is wrong with the U.S healthcare system?! [Other]

My parents were involved in an accident recently. Their injuries weren’t severe, but they were transferred to a hospital by an ambulance. We moved to the U.S two years ago. My dad’s work is the inly source of income, and it’s a very limited income. How the hell are we supposed to pay $2000 for a few X-rays and an ambulance ride that was like 10 minutes?! Even with a payment plan they just can’t pay this amount. Their insurance paid $7000! The hospital & the ambulance didn’t take into account our financial situation at all. Not all people are born rich & some of us make barely enough money to eat. I know this is the way it works here, but I really needed this to get off my chest.
