My wife and I recently went on vacation to France and she got sick enough while we were there that she had to visit the hospital (she’s fine now).
We spent six hours at the hospital including administered pain meds, an IV drip, multiple blood tests, and scans. We left with a prescription for six boxes of medicine. We were charged 69€ ($77) for the visit and 38€ ($44) for the medicine for a total cost of $121.
With healthcare costs being a popular topic of debate these days, I was wondering if anyone received similar care in the US and was interested in sharing how much they were charged (before or after insurance).
