I really just need some second opinions from people that are knowledgeable about more natural routes to beauty products, as I feel overwhelmed and under-informed. I'm 27 and the last 10 years or so have been rough. After years of neglecting myself and harmful behaviors, I'm finally trying to take better care of my skin and my body.
I noticed I'm starting to get wrinkles though and so I've been using wrinkle creams like Olay and etc. However, I never really believed these products to work... I have a friend who recommended I go the more natural route. She recommended some locally made natural products and I just bought this face wash that my friend swears by.
I'm trying to do some research about the ingredients, to see if it's really worth the switch and if this is better than the stuff I could get at CVS, etc. But I'm finding myself overwhelmed.
The list of ingredients is relatively short; but I wonder if this is the sort of thing I need, or if this is just another gimmick.
"Organic aloe, organic castile soap, glycerin, jojoba oil, pink clay, kaolin clay, EO Chamomile, Green Mandarin, Lavender "
These are the ingredients listed, either way I get my face wash tomorrow... but I really hope that something like this can make up for the wear and tear I've put my skin through for the last decade. Can anyone give me some insight as to how these ingredients stack up against mainstream beauty products? Or perhaps a recommendation for something better suited for what I need? I know time can't be reversed, but moving forward I want to avoid gimmicks and fillers and really try and utilize something that works.
