I'm completely new to insurance and medical fees so please forgive my ignorance. But I thought Planned Parenthood is supposed to be cheap? And my insurance is barely paying for any of it.
Just for some additional details: I have gotten STD tests done several times this year, so that might be why insurance (Blue Cross Blue Shield) isn't covering it. And I did tell Planned Parenthood my income ($70k)...now I'm realizing maybe that's why I'm being charged so much.
I'm just in shock as to how expensive this is. The doctor at Planned Parenthood says that some people get tested every month. How could anyone afford that? Am I doing something wrong here?
