[Question - Insurance] Two working spouses employer offered healthcare

I am employed and have health insurance through my employer for myself and two dependents. My wife also works but has her own employer offered health insurance.

We experienced a life event and expect my wife will cease to work later this year (in a few months). She could join my plan now or wait for her job situation to change (obviously this is another life event).

Under the ACA in 2021, if she were to join my plan now while she is still employed for 2-3 months, would there be a fee associated with this for having enrolling into a spouse's plan despite having employer offered health insurance? This could be a US tax penalty/fee, or my employer fee. I am trying to figure out if there is a fee only during the months of having two plans offered (while she is still employed) or whether it's a flat penalty for having the plan outside of an employer offer one in a given year.

TLDR: if my wife plans to continue working for 3 months then quite her job and joins my employer offered health insurance plan now, will we owe something for our 2021 taxes? If so, how much and why?
