Question on Miscarriage (Maternity Coverage)

Hi guys,

My wife had miscarraige back in Nov 2015. She had an insurance through her mom and my wife was 23 years old. 2 years later, September 2017, we received the bill from the hospital stating that the insurance got denied.

I contacted insurance company and they said the insurance does not cover dependent's(my wife) child.

My qeustion is , is misccariage part of 'Maternity'? What I am really confused is this same insurance covered for OBGYN visit but not miscarriage. I thought going to OBGYN and getting ultra sound done for baby is part of Maternity.

I completely understand the insurance does not cover dependent's(my wife) child. But i thought miscarriage was not somethibg for the child health. It is something that happened to my wife (dependent) and insurance should cover.

The bill is so much since we had to go to ER. Any answer and help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Need help acquiring affordable healthcare in Texas

Hi guys I'm currently living in Texas and I need to find a way to determine what Healthcare will fit me best considering how high the prices are. For the past year I have been paying over $400 a month and it is just unsustainable for me. Blue Cross Blue Shield of Texas is incredibly expensive but I could not find anything cheaper that seemed reliable. I don't make enough money to afford it and I understand that I should still be eligible for Obamacare this year. Can anyone please point me in the right direction so that I may reduce my health care costs considerably without option into some scam?

Olive oil for bath time?

Hi all! I guess I can post this question here. I have an extremely dry skin, no acne, no pimples. I have eczema on my face, hands and arm/leg folds, though. It's not that bad compared to my childhood, really, just skin patches that feel irritated and sensitive. I tried a lot of cleaners and moisturizers over the years, there was stuff from doctors' office, "natural" Asian skincare products, but my skin seems to hate everything. I ended up using any kind of shower gel/body wash (right now it's The Body Shop's olive body wash) only once per week or whenever I feel like I need it because my skin feels irritated immediately after. I take quick showers every day and don't sweat much, so this (thank god) works for me. I take baths after I shower once per two days as well, diluting about two tbsp of olive oil, one tsp of avocado oil and half tsp. of tea tree oil (whenever I feel the need to calm down the scratching a little, so not often) in water, then gently rub it into my skin. Sadly, it's the only one thing that doesn't make my skin feel heavenly soft and NOT like it's being pulled off my body when I step out of the shower. :( Sometimes I also use body butter (also from The Body Shop) and a little bit of bethamethasone+salicilic acid lotion (which is only available throughout Eastern Europe, so I don't know what to compare it to, my blemishes disappear overnight) if my eczema gets too visible and irritating. I used to add a cup of sea salt to my bath water, I'm not doing it for a while with no difference. I am kind of lost. Is this kind of approach okay? I am still trying out new products to maybe find my perfect routine, but for now I am stuck with oil and salt as those are the only "safe" alternatives for me. I am also afraid my skin isn't getting any nutrition at all, how can I help my condition more with natural approach? Thanks!
