The organization reportedly saw a surge of interest in IUDs after President Trump's election, but it's not just for birth control, or for women. What does Dr. Leana Wen have planned for the organization?

Hello, Sorry for the format I’m writing from mobile
My girlfriend is an international student waiting for her process to get approval, while she is waiting she will like to go to her basic medical care such as a main doctor or gynecologist. She is currently staying in NJ (hope that helps to be specific) She doesn’t know any insurance providers that can be low-cost and neither do I.
Any help to get on the right track will be greatly appreciated, thank you
I'm potentially gonna be an exchange student in New Orleans the first semester of next year. However, I am getting dental braces in the start of next year. In my country, getting braces is not ensured for adults; and therefore I am not able to ensure myself for the treatment on foreign grounds either.
Knowing that the US medical costs are relatively high -- especially compared to my home country -- I wonder if anybody can tell me how much I can expect in costs for check ups on the braces. Depending on their costs I might have to skip out on my exchange adventure.
Thanks in advance!
Via Marketplace: Ambetter Essential Care 1 for $309: Deduct $7.9K, Coinsure 0%, Max not listed
Via eHealth: National General Accident & Health for $131: Deduct 5K, Coinsure 0%, Max 1mil
From what I can see, the two plans seem pretty much the same except that the Marketplace one has some generic drug coverage. 3x the price for similar coverage seems janky. Am I missing something?
I am a student conducting a survey on people's opinions of current healthcare in the United States, if you are a US resident with a little bit of time to spare I would love to get your opinion for my project.
Thank You!
I have been collecting and using this very fine natural iron sand for my planted aquariums for a few years and started selling it to other aquarists on /r/Aquaswap. Usually I sell it cheap by the cup. So I was bagging one day and spilled some on my table. I scooped it off into my palm and got it all over my hands. So I went and washed my hands with regular bar soap and by the time I was done my hands were as soft as they have ever felt.
So I took a shotglass full into the bathroom and mixed it with my regular face cleanser and bam- amazing exfoliation. Now I use it about 2x a week.
It's very fine but doesn't dissolve and since I collect it from natural waterways at about 8,000 feet up in the Sierras (near a natural mineral spring) I know it's environmentally sound. It's actually good for plants, extremely clean and non-toxic- I have been using it in my planted aquariums for a few years now.
I notice that every time I use it as an exfoliant, my skin feels warm but never irritated. I was thinking that it was possible that it grabs heavy metal pollution but I'm not positive.
Anyway, it works great and if you would like to try it out with your favorite cream cleanser, just message me. I would love to get some feedback.
I was under the impression that drugs specifically listed on the ACA Preventive Drug List is required to be fully covered by insurance companies, resulting in no charge to the patient for those meds (unless your insurance is through your employer and the employer opts out for religious reasons or whatever). Have I misunderstood? I'm being charged around $20 for birth control each month. :/
If I'm not supposed to be getting charged for it, what do I do to... you know, make that happen? Do I call the pharmacy, or my insurance, or..?
Pertinent:
- I am in Michigan, USA
- Health insurance is through PHP (Physician's Health Plan)
- Insurance is not through an employer
- The pharmacy does have my up-to-date insurance info
