A problem I encountered today with the American Healthcare System

So I am in a ton of pain and have trouble doing any exercise at all and I was referred to see an orthopedic specialist. So this morning I got up at 630 to go to an 8 am appointment and when I get there and fill out all the paperwork for 30 minutes and when im done the Nurse (that scheduled me) tells me that I cant see my orthopedic specialist and have to cancel my appointment because he has a private contract with a specific insurance and I don’t have that anymore, which the nurse that I called thought I had. So I wasted my whole morning and for nothing and now I have to set up another appointment for this other guy 30 miles away. Am I the only one that thinks this stupid healthcare system where doctors only see patients with certain types of insurance is ridiculous? To make matters worse, the guy i was supposed to see has already done a surgery on me in the past. He knows me and I cant see him because I dont pay enough for insurance now.

Texas, Oklahoma Divided Over How To Handle Earthquakes Linked To Oil Drilling
Oklahoma and Texas have been experiencing a rash of human-caused earthquakes. It happens when oil and gas wastewater gets pumped underground in the wrong places and disrupts faults. Oklahoma officials have cracked down on wastewater injection; Texas is apparently uninterested in doing much. That could mean a lot more quakes given that the country's biggest oil reservoir has just been discovered in west Texas.

30 Day Rule (Obamacare)?

I had a discussion with someone who mentioned there is a rule that says if a patient is treated and, for any reason at all, goes back to the same hospital within 30 days, they must be treated without charging the patient.

That means, if someone has an infection, goes to the hospital for antibiotics, then breaks their hand for a completely unrelated reason within 30 days, they should be treated without being charged.

I haven't been able to find any evidence of this, yet the person who told me is credible so I am wondering if it really does exist.

Anyone tried mashed strawberries as teeth whitener? Does it work?

I read about this all over the internet. Strawberries have malic acid so they whiten your teeth if you mash them and coat them on.

http://ift.tt/1LQsMy6

Thing is, this article says it damages your enamel if you do it more than once per week. Damn, that's infrequent! And I heard the process takes forever too, like months and months.

How long does the whiteness last? How long does it really take to get a noticeable color change?

Is this really worth it? Does it wear down your enamel little by little?

I'm looking for a natural alternative to strips and powders that's easy, cheap, and creates no damage...
